Avril Ramona Lavigne was born to a French-born father, John, and a Franco-Ontarian mother, Judy, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada on September 27, 1984. Her father named her Avril after the month "April" in French. She has an older brother, Matthew, and a younger sister, Michelle. Lavigne's mother was the first to spot young Lavigne's talent. At the age of two, Lavigne began singing church songs along with her mother. The family moved to Napanee, Ontario, when Lavigne was five years old.
In 1998, Lavigne won a competition to sing with fellow Canadian singer Shania Twain on her first major concert tour. She appeared alongside Twain at her concert in Ottawa, appearing on stage to sing "What Made You Say That". She was discovered by her first professional manager, Cliff Fabri, while singing country covers at a Chapters bookstore in Kingston, Ontario. During a performance with the Lennox Community Theatre, Lavigne was spotted by local folk singer Steve Medd, who invited her to contribute vocals on his song, "Touch the Sky", for his 1999 album, Quinte Spirit. She also sang on "Temple of Life" and "Two Rivers" for his follow up 2000 album, My Window to You.

Roberts was born in Rhinebeck, New York.She is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts, (who was born in Biloxi, Mississippi but raised in Atlanta, Georgia) and his then girlfriend Kelly Cunningham. Roberts is the step-daughter of Eliza Roberts. Roberts has two step-sisters - Morgan Simons and Keaton Simons. She is the niece of the award winning actress, Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan. Roberts said in an interview that: " I've just always wanted to act. Ever since I was really little I've wanted to do it. But my mom didn't want to get me into it too young. So, it's just been something I've always wanted to do.

In 2006, Roberts became a spokesmodel for Dooney & Bourke, and designed her own Dooney & Bourke handbag, named after her, the "Emma Bag." In February 2009, she was named the brand ambassador for Neutrogena; she will star in print and commercial ads for the company. Roberts said in an interview with JustJaredJr.com on being the face of Neutrogena: "it’s important to me to be associated with Neutrogena because they instill confidence and beauty in young women.” According to IMDb Roberts was a spokesperson for the second annual National "Drop Everything and Read" Day (or D.E.A.R Day) on Thursday, April 12, 2007. According to JustJaredJr.com Roberts will be participating in the Children’s Cancer Research Fund’s Kids 4 Kids Run/Walk this Sunday, April 26, in Los Angeles.
Roberts stated and was quoted saying :
“I am so honored to be an ambassador for the 4th year in a row, for the CCRF’s Annual Run/Walk. It has become an important tradition for me and I look forward to seeing all the great kids. I hope you can join us for this terrific day.”

Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992.She is the daughter of Leticia "Tish" (née Finley) and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She has an older brother Trace, a vocalist and guitarist of an electronic rock band Metro Station in California. She has an older sister, Brandi. The two were Tish's children from a previous relationship, whom Billy Ray Cyrus adopted when they were very young. She also has an older half-brother, Christopher Cody, her father's son from a previous relationship, but she has not seen Christopher since November 2007 during her concert at Fort Worth, Texas. Miley also has a younger brother, Braison, and a younger sister, Noah, who is also an actress. Cyrus was named Destiny Hope because her parents believed that she would accomplish great things.Cyrus was nicknamed "Miley" because she kept smiling ("Smiley") as a youngster. She is of part Cherokee descent.
Cyrus attended Heritage Middle School and was a cheerleader, but now goes to school at Options For Youth. She also has a private tutor on the set of her TV show. She grew up on her parents' farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee where she also attended The People's Church.

After working in local theater plays and television commercials in her childhood, Duff gained fame for playing the title role in the television series Lizzie McGuire. She is the second child of Susan Colleen (née Cobb), a homemaker and a film producer, and husband Robert Erhard Duff, a partner in a chain of convenience stores, who resides at the family home in Houston to maintain the family's convenience store business. She has an elder sister, Haylie Duff, who is also an actress/singer. Duff's mother encouraged Hilary to take up acting classes alongside her elder sister, Haylie, which resulted in both girls winning roles in various local theater productions. At the ages of eight and six, respectively, the Duff sisters participated in the ballet, The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus BalletMet in San Antonio.
